Well this article will have a range of emotions throughout it.
First is happy, well we all know that on the 31st of July was the Waikato champs. The family headed to our hotel on Friday night and then it was off to see Teresa for the final weigh in. All looked good but I had spent too long in the shower after my first tan so Phaedra had to have her first go at tanning her husband. She did a wonderful job, interesting being naked on a towel and bending and lifting all your limbs so she can get everywhere. I hope she is not scared for life.

Well the time is near, this time next sat the nite show would have started and my nerves will be at the highest level possible.
Busy week this next week with waxing, tanning, workouts and making sure I don’t forget my routine. Dreamed last nite that when I got on stage I forgot everything. Lets hope that doesn't happen.

Time is getting near now. The nerves are being replaced by excitement as my body and my routine is coming together. Just quickly though the training is going good, more cardio and light weights and it has really made a difference. Bloody hard getting up at 4.30am each morning though to wander the streets.
I thought you may be interested to hear what a day in the life of an amateur bodybuilder is like 15 days from a comp.

Not a big article this time, just some good news this morning when I stood naked (scary sight)on the scales.
I started this process at 105.4kg in Novenber and today I am 85.4kg so I have lost 20kg.
Very pleased as this was one of my targets and it felt so far away last year.
Lets hope the other 5.4kg fall off soon.

Well the days are counting down now. The nerves are beginning to be replaced by excitement.
There have been a few changes over the last few days and also some memorable things that have happened to me.
Firstly though training has been going well, I have been throwing in some extra reps and superseting others. This has been helping in getting the heart rate up and also creating a good burn. Cardio has been added over the few weeks and I have been getting up at 5.00am to get in a 45 min wal. Over the weekend I got my latest plan from Teresa and now I will have to get up earlier to get in an hour.

Well now is time to begin counting down the days until all the hard work has to be put on show. 54 days to go and at this stage all seems to be on track according to Teresa.
Months ago I thought I was never going to lose the weight but this morning I was 88.1kg so the 80kg deadline doesn’t seem that far away now.
Well I better inform people what I have been up to as that is the reason we are doing these updates.

Two and a half months to go until I stand up on stage and show 10 months of hard work.
There have been some big changes in the last few weeks, mainly being hungry as the diet kicks in. I am at the stage where chickens in Pukekohe are in short supply and I feel like I should be growing feathers soon. Also pleased that our vege garden is healthy with silver beat, broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower on the menu.

It’s been a while since I sat down in front of the computer to put down my thoughts. Bart is on the business end of his comp preparation and I am just about to start the last two/three month final push of mine.
Well where to begin, let’s start with the training. All going well with some changes beginning to happen. I knew I had more than one ab hiding under my layer of padding and they are finally beginning to show. The workouts are painful but satisfying at the moment. The few super and drop setsTeresa has me doing really hurt, but in a good way.

Well it has been two weeks since I posted something on Oversize, sorry to my family who usually reads them.
Well last weekend I took some items from Pukekohe down to Bart and Vanessa in Whanga and got talking to them about how I am going. Oh by the way they are looking in awesome shape, the competition should be scared at Auckland next month.

Well over the last 4 months there have been some big changes on my path to a bodybuilding competition. First was the change in my diet to lose weight, then came the fact that I needed to lift heavy weights to shock my body back into shape. After working on those items for a few months then my back goes (old age). Now I had a month of lifting light weight with high reps.

Well not much has changed in my routine so I thought I would explain my new diet plan and some other good news.
Firstly the best news this week was my Physio giving me the all clear to lift about 80% max, as long as I am careful. Must remember to brace myself and use my core to hold my back in place when lifting. I have had to make a few changes to my routine due to my back and a recent shoulder injury this week.
