Time is getting near now. The nerves are being replaced by excitement as my body and my routine is coming together. Just quickly though the training is going good, more cardio and light weights and it has really made a difference. Bloody hard getting up at 4.30am each morning though to wander the streets.

I thought you may be interested to hear what a day in the life of an amateur bodybuilder is like 15 days from a comp.

  •  4.30am up and have heaps of vitamins, oils and lemon juice.
  • Walking for 1 hour around town then back for fish and kumera
  • Head to work for coffee at 6.30am
  • Apple, mussels at 8.30
  • Mussels at 10.30
  • Veges, rice and tuna salad at 12.00pm
  • Rest of my salad at 3.00 and then 2 carrots while I drive home.
  • Dinner of fish and veges
  • Gym for 20 -45 min depending on what day it is
  • Posing with the family
  • Home for peaches and protein
  • More pills and then my head hits the pillow
  • Do it all again the next day.

Sorry, most people may find that boring to read but it’s my life at the moment and based on what happened today at work it is working.

I had my annual health check at work and have perfect blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar and lung function and as of today have lost over 22kg.

Now for the hard bits, posing practice seems to be coming along. Helps when the body is taking shape. The wife and kids reckon they can see more now. Looking forward to heading to Whanga tomorrow to get some posing tips from Bart. Every little bit of help will be taken up from now on.

With thanks to Michael Bartly my music has been edited, CD and rego sent to NABBA head office. And last night I think I nailed my routine with the help of my son taking photos and notes as to which poses were after each other.

Well time to watch Glee and finish my Spirulina, linseed and peaches and hit the sack.

I will hopefully check in again but next week is my last week at work as the following week is waxing, tanning, dieting and pumping up before the big nite.
